Rolling advertisement for the position of faculty at the level of Assistant Professor at IIT Indore.

IIT Indore is inviting open applications from Indian Nationals and OCIs to recruit faculty positions (Assistant Professor (Grade I and II) in its various academic Departments and Schools. It is a rolling advertisement; hence there is no deadline for applications.

Recruitment would be based on the available vacancies and as per requirements in the department's specialization areas.

Required Qualifications and Experience Requirements

The minimum conditions for the placement of Assistant Professor Grade I and II are the following:

Assistant Professor Grade I

•   Ph.D. degree with a first-class or equal to the preceding degree in the relevant branch
•   An excellent academic record throughout.
•   Experience: Minimum three years of research/ teaching industrial/experience,

Assistant Professor Grade-II

•   Ph.D. degree with a first-class or equivalent at the previous degree in the applicable branch
•   An excellent academic record throughout.
•   The Assistant Professor Grade-II position will be on a contract basis.

Age Limit: Maximum 32 years

Age, qualifications, and experience criteria will be set as on the cut-off date. After the deadline, applications will be analyzed from the application portal for scrutiny, and the portal will be reset for receiving applications again on a rolling basis.

Salary/Reimbursement:

The pay structure for the positions, as per the 7th CPC, is as follows:
Total Emoluments, including HRA* (₹)
Assistant Professor Grade-I: 1,01,500/ to 1,63,928/-
Assistant Professor Grade-II: 70,900/ to 1,17,416/-

Benefits/ Allowances:

Support/ allowances, following the Ministry of Education, provided are as follows:

1.   Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA): an allowance of ₹3 lakhs for every block period of three years on a reimbursable basis to meet the expenses for conferences, membership fees of professional bodies, and academic/research-related contingency expenditure.
2.   Relocation Allowance: Reimbursement of relocation charges of up to ₹1,00,000/- for faculty members joining from abroad.
3.   Seed Grant: The grant would be offered to the newly joined faculty members for support.
4.   Medical Facility: OPD, In-Patient Department medical facility, and Institute Health Centre in the leading hospitals in Indore.
5.   Children's Education Allowance (CEA)
6.   Communication Charges: Reimbursement of communication charges.
7.   Accommodation Facility: The Institute strives to provide suitable accommodation to all faculty.
8.   Research Facility: Facilities for Research and Development activities are available in all the Centres and Departments.
